The Ibanez UB bass guitar allows for seamless transitioning from electric bass to upright instrument. With its 34" scale length and tapered fingerboard, it facilitates fast plucking and effortless bowing. Its compact maple body not only looks striking but also delivers exceptional sound quality. Moreover, it is much easier to transport compared to traditional upright basses, making it an excellent choice for musicians on the go.
The UB series is a product of Ibanez's innovative Bass Workshop, which has been exploring new sounds for over 40 years. The 5-piece maple/walnut neck and jatoba fingerboard provide a clear midrange and treble profile. The integrated AeroSilk piezo pickup, along with active tone control, grants the bass guitar its characteristic "airy" upright feel, enhancing the overall playing experience.
The AeroSilk MR5 bridge, designed with specially developed piezo saddles, provides optimal support for both pizzicato and arco playing styles. The delivery scope includes a padded gig bag that comfortably fits the bass, bow, and stand, along with a TAMA Roadpro stand that matches the instrument perfectly.
