For decades, the Ibanez SR series has offered bassists a modern alternative that impresses with its lightweight body, fast neck, and perfectly tuned electronics. The Premium SR models, "Designed to Inspire," combine carefully selected tonewoods, high-quality electronics, excellent hardware, and precision craftsmanship.
The Atlas 5-piece Panga Panga/Purpleheart neck with KTS™ TITANIUM reinforcement ensures balanced response, full tone, and stable sustain. The Panga Panga fingerboard provides defined mids, clear highs, and rich lows, while medium frets with premium fret edge treatment guarantee comfortable, precise playing.
The body, made of sandblasted ash top on African mahogany, delivers bright, assertive tones with rich sustain. Nordstrand™ Big Break pickups combine powerful split-coil sound with clear single-coil definition and noiseless performance. This is complemented by Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ and a 3-way mid-frequency switch to perfect your sound.
