Engineered for speed, comfort, and full-throttle attitude, the EVH 5150® Series Standard guitar combines elements of nostalgia and modern performance. Its modified Strat®-style basswood body features a deeper upper body curve for enhanced playability.
The graphite-reinforced bolt-on quartersawn maple neck is carved to Eddie Van Halen's specifications, with a comfortable modified "C" profile and a hand-rubbed satin urethane back finish. The 12"-16" compound radius ebony fingerboard comes equipped with 22 jumbo frets and cream dot inlays for a classic look and feel.
Unlike its predecessor, the new 5150 is outfitted with HH pickup configuration controlled by a three-way toggle switch. The custom-designed EVH® Wolfgang® Alnico 2 humbucker bridge pickup offers a perfect blend of punch and articulation, while the neck pickup delivers remarkable overdrive and sustain without compromising clean sounds.
Incorporating a "dive-bomb" certified EVH-branded top-mount Floyd Rose® bridge, the locking tailpiece features fine tuners for each string and a patented EVH D-Tuna® for instant tuning changes from drop-D to standard. Enhance your performance with the newly added kill switch for those rhythmic effects.
