The EVH® 5150® Iconic® Series meets the needs of gigging and recording guitarists who crave that powerful EVH tube tone at an affordable price. Evolving from the revered EVH 5150III® amplifiers, it delivers searing sound and growling gain made famous by Eddie Van Halen.
Designed collaboratively by the EVH team under the leadership of renowned amp engineer James Brown, the 5150® Iconic® Series 60-watt 2x12 combo is powered by two 6L6 power tubes and voiced by a complex, multi-stage hybrid preamp section anchored by a pair of ECC83 tubes, ensuring all the firepower modern guitarists need.
The cabinet features special internal plywood baffling for tight and increased bass response, housing a pair of custom-designed EVH 12" Celestion® speakers specifically voiced for this preamp circuit, ensuring pristine cleans and searing high gain tones are tight, clear, and articulate.
This combo features two channels, Green and Red, for versatile sounds. The Green channel offers an overdrive button for transitioning from clear tones to increased gain, while the Red channel's burn button adds fiery crunch, ideal for blistering leads. Each channel has its own gain and volume controls, allowing for seamless level-matching when switching between channels.
