The Electro Harmonix Silencer is a sophisticated noise gate that effectively eliminates unwanted noises from your electric instrument. Its fine-tuning capabilities allow you to integrate it seamlessly into any system.
With the Treshold control, you can set the signal level above which the noise gate activates, while the Reduction knob allows for adjustable noise reduction from -70dB to +4dB. The Release control ensures the gate remains open for a period after the signal drops below the Treshold level, adjustable from 8 msec to 4 sec.
The Bypass feature allows for lossless signal routing even when the device is turned off. The device can be powered using a 9V battery or with the optional EHX 9.6DC power supply.
